PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Many companies recognise the power of adopting an integrated Lean Sigma approach to provide a seamless business improvement methodology that works in every area - and at every level - of your business. The Lean Sigma approach enables you to reduce both process time and process variability – and to understand when to apply a ‘Just Do It’ Lean approach, or to take a more structured data analysis approach to the problem solving. The Lean tools are linked to the robust DMAIC problem-solving approach, and focus on analysing processes, customer demand, and product/process flow - producing fast and visual improvements. Six Sigma techniques are applied throughout the improvement process to provide robust data analysis, measurement and creative solutions required to reduce complex variability in product and processes.

This 14-day modular programme covers the full Lean Sigma DMAIC toolkit to develop Black Belts who are skilled in scoping and delivering quantifiable improvement projects, and can also lead and support project teams to encourage the use of foundation Lean Sigma tools on a daily basis. In addition to the technical skills development, delegates will develop the leadership and change management skills required in the Black Belt role, plus the ‘enabling’ techniques of creativity and communication. Following the DMAIC structure, the training focuses on the tools that are appropriate for business-based improvement activities, and refers to business project examples throughout.
