INTRODUCTION TO MINITAB

COURSE PROGRAMME (1 Day)

Forthcoming Public Courses

The Minitab software tool provides a complete support package for Six Sigma, containing all of the functions a trained Green or Black Belt will need to use. It is widely acknowledged as the industry standard, and offers wider functionality and ease of use than other spreadsheet packages.

The Smallpeice Six Sigma Green and Black Belt programmes utilise Minitab, and delegates are taught how to use the software package as part of the main programme.

However, for independent users, or for engineers involved in general statistical analysis (such as Design of Experiments), this 1-day programme offers the ideal introduction.

The course is aimed at first time users of Minitab but assumes a basic understanding of statistics and statistical analysis. Delegates work on individual PC’s and course numbers are restricted so as not to dilute lecturer attention.

OBJECTIVES

To introduce the key application features of Minitab

To show how to enter and manipulate data to produce graphs and
    perform basic statistical analysis techniques

To provide tips on software usage and give some insight in to more complex
    techniques
To analyse some ‘real process’ data
