PRE-PROGRAMME
COMPANY VISIT
Before
the main programme commences, delegates will be visited at
their company for a pre-programme introduction and project
scoping session. Ideally, this session includes meeting with
the delegate/s sponsor/s to scope project work and agree
success criteria and financial metrics for the project work |

STATS GROUND SCHOOL (Optional)
A practical pre-programme session
on basic statistics can help to refresh the principles before
attending the main programme. Alternatively, delegates can be
provided with pre-course work and reading in order to refresh
knowledge of some of the commonly used statistical tools

MODULAR TRAINING PROGRAMME
The
training programmes are organised in modular blocks that
follow the key stages of the Six Sigma process
Training includes hands-on Minitab software training where
delegates work on individual PCs to learn the software which
supports data analysis and reporting
Comprehensive course notes are provided throughout the
programme with sufficient detail to act as invaluable
reference manuals
Delegates will work with a number of specialist tutors
throughout the programme co-ordinated by an overall Course

STAGE

PROJECT
WORK
Project work takes place
between the training sessions
During the first week of the
programme each delegate will spend time with an experienced
Six Sigma practitioner to ensure that the objectives, scope
and direction of their project are clearly outlined (building
on
the work initiated during the
pre-course visit) At the start of each of the training
blocks formal project reviews will be held with the group,
and advice will be given about project progress and planning
In addition, delegates are
provided with a web forum, email and phone access to their Smallpeice project mentor for ongoing help and advice

CERTIFICATION
Black
Belt & Green Belt accreditation is
available via Smallpeice Enterprises (inclusive within
programme fee) and through our accreditation partners
Cardiff University Business School (£450 per delegate
supplement).
The
overall process includes assessment of the following
elements:
1.
Sitting of a computerised
multiple choice examination
2.
Submission of written
project report
3.
Presentation on the main
findings, outcomes,
process used,
plus panel
assessment interview |

PAYBACK
Technical and financial success
criteria for each project are agreed during a pre-course visit
when the management support structure and project goals are
established
Typically, each delegate is
expected to generate savings of at least twice the cost of
training and in many cases savings are achieved of between
£25K to £100K per project |
